After Udon Thani I took a bus East to Sakhon Nakhon, a lovely town
full of wide, empty streets. While I was there I did a day-trip out
to the small town of Tha Rae which hosts one of the largest Catholic
communities in Thailand. Though they're much more infamous for
butchering dogs and trying to sell the meat as beef in Bangkok.
I stopped off in the "dog market" and tried some dried-jerky. It was
not bad and definitely tasted different from any other meat I've ever
eaten. They became very agitated when I produced my camera however
and made it quite clear that I was not allowed to take any pictures.
